Audrey Shilling
Membership Secretary Audrey Shilling is a retired priest in the Church of England. She lives in Rainham and worships at St. Margaret's.
Audrey was a member of the Church Army for 33 years, the last 18 of which were spent living and working as a community worker in the East End of London. Her last post was as administrator of a Community and Social Action Centre in Bow.
Since retiring in 1986 she has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Medway Racial Equality Council, the Council for Voluntary Service (Medway) and the Swale Carers. She was a founder-member and chair of the Medway Detainees Support Group, which organised visiting for asylum seekers held in Rochester Prison, and she has been a member of the Executive of Medway Inter Faith Action for four years.
Audrey enjoys her painting class in Rochester and keeps in touch with many friends.
